Netfit, in partnership with the New Zealand Nutrition Foundation have produced a distance learning course in sports nutrition. This course has been specifically designed for those with an interest in physical activity, with sound nutritional information to enhance sporting nutrition. This course comprises of three separate modules, each of approx 10 weeks duration.

Module One An introduction to sports nutrition, nutrition and health, exercise physiology, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and trace elements, digestion and fluids. |

Module Two Nutrition through the life cycle, assessment of nutritional status, training nutrition, pre-competition nutrition, competing nutrition and recovery nutrition. |
|
Module Three Special Dietary requirements, nutrition issues for sports people such as, supplements, ergogenic aids, eating disorders, strength and endurance nutrition, etc. Practical issues including snack attacks and healthy meals at home, on the road, on the run. | |
| What Qualification will I get? |

Network Certificate in Sports Nutrition in association with the NZ Nutrition Foundation. Includes NZQA Unit Standards and 50 REPs CECs.
